Sweet Action Ice Cream is a Denver craft ice cream company known for inventive flavors, high-quality ingredients, and a strong neighborhood following. Our production facility supports our scoop shops, catering program, and growing wholesale business.
We’re looking for a Seasonal Warehouse Assistant (April through August / September) to support our warehouse operations and report to our Production Operations Manager. This is a hands-on physically demanding role responsible for keeping the factory clean, organized and running smoothly through proper receiving, shipping, cleaning and organization in line with our GMP food safety program. You’ll also be involved with helping our Events Manager with event & catering preparation as well as setup / breakdown / cleaning of catering equipment.
Core Responsibilities
- Receive and ship ingredients, products and supplies
- Perform accurate inventory of ingredients, products and supplies
- Organize and rotate inventory according to FIFO and food safety requirements
- Assist with keeping facility clean and compliant with food safety requirements
- Assist with production record keeping
- Help box / package products for shipment
- Support events & catering team as needed
- Load / unload pallets as needed (will train on forklift)
Qualifications
- Be organized, detail oriented and consistent
- Able to multi-task
- Great with desk work
- Be punctual and responsible
- Good at following checklists
- Dependable and self-motivated individual who would feel comfortable working the warehouse independently during our slower times
- Able to lift at least 50 lbs of weight and alright with climbing a ladder to reach higher inventory
- Warehouse and food industry experiences would be a big plus, but not strictly necessary
- Experience fixing and repairing things would also be a plus, but not strictly necessary
Compensation & Benefits
- $20 – $23 hourly, depending on experience
